The biggest snow storm of the winter season is taking aim at Northeast Wisconsin. There are winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings across the Badger state with at least several inches of snowfall with some locations seeing over a half foot. Last night a light band of snow lifted through north of Highway 10 and moved into the U.P. Only a dusting to an inch of snow fell from this band, now we are in a lull this morning as the main system gets its act together and begins to hone in on our area. The snowfall will start from west to east. Our western counties will see it begin around 9-11 am, and then our eastern part of the area between 11 am and 2 pm. Snow will then continue throughout the whole rest of the day and into tomorrow morning. Snowfall will end by the late morning. Snowfall will continue to fall all day and into the night. The storm system wraps up early Wednesday morning. Snowfall accumulations will range from 6 to 10 inches for the Fox Valley and the Lakeshore areas. There will be some localized totals that could get a foot of snow. North and west of Green Bay, Snowfall totals will decrease to 4 to 7 inches. The extreme far Northwoods may see around 4 inches. High temperatures on Tuesday will be in the mid 20s. Overnight lows will drop to near 20 degrees. Wednesday highs are back in the mid 20s again. Some chilly air moves in with highs in the single digits on Thursday morning. A few flurries or light snow showers will pass through Thursday afternoon or evening along an arctic front. Behind that, the coldest air of the year, yes, even colder than what we experienced Monday morning will arrive. There is a chance of some light snow on Sunday and then Light to moderate snowfall on Monday.
