🇨🇲A revolution has erupted in Cameroon after the 92-year-old ruler was re-elected to an eighth term

Paul Biya has ruled the country for over 43 years, since 1982, making him the oldest president in the world. Biya was re-elected to a new seven-year term, allegedly winning 53.66% of the vote. Young Cameroonians, however, believe that local opposition leader Issa Tchiroma Bakary actually won, and so they took to the streets en masse.

Protests have now spread across all major cities of Cameroon. According to media reports, security forces killed at least four people and arrested over 100 in the country's largest city, Douala, on October 26.
