Proverbs 24:1–14 Explained, KJV, Rightly Dividing — Contrast Between God and Man

When evil men seem to win, don’t envy them—run to the One who loves you. In Proverbs 24:1–14 we contrast man’s way with God’s heart: envy vs. trust, destruction vs. salvation, mischief vs. truth, fainting in adversity vs. strength through wisdom. We also face the hard reality of verse 11–12: people “drawn unto death.” If you feel crushed, rejected, betrayed by “religion,” or convinced God isn’t there—this message is for you.

On Eternal Minded Truths, our whole channel is for the broken: the beat-down, the exhausted, the ones living with no hope, the ones considering ending life, the ones hurt by churches, the skeptical, and the atheist who’s honest enough to say, “I don’t see Him.” We won’t push you into a mold—We’ll point you to Jesus Christ and let Him meet you where you really are.

What we cover in this study (Pro 24:1–14):
• v1–2 — Why envying the godless wounds your own heart—and what God desires instead.
• v3–4 — “Through wisdom is an house builded”: how God rebuilds what life broke.
• v5–7 — Strength that grows with knowledge; why fools can’t grasp it.
• v8–9 — Mischief, foolish thoughts, and God’s higher standard (“whatsoever is not of faith is sin”).
• v10 — “If thou faint in the day of adversity…”—how to stand when everything falls.
• v11–12 — Delivering those drawn to death: God sees your heart and the ones you could help.
• v13–14 — Honey for the soul: finding wisdom that gives a hope that will not be cut off.

If you’re overwhelmed or thinking about self-harm: you matter. Please talk to someone who can help right now—someone you trust locally, a counselor, pastor, family member, or your area’s emergency number. You are not alone.
