RUSSIA’S “FLYING CHERNOBYL”?
Russia’s new ‘Atomic Powered’ Cruise Missile has become a reality.

Imagine if you will a cruise missile that can remain aloft almost forever. Imagine that this missile is capable of delivering a nuclear warhead? It doesn’t take a great imagination to figure out what this might mean.

Let’s begin with a quote from Russian Air Marshal Gregory Pavlovich, “Our newest addition to our arsenal is undetectable, invisible to radar, and capable of evading airborne threats. It is also capable of continued flight for days, months, and even years if we so desire. It is a new instrument of peace through power.”

I’m gonna take a closer look at this missile dubbed Burevestnik, which is also called the SSC-X-9 Skyfall. It is a pretty advanced piece of death on the wing. It can do a lot.

First, it is capable of “canyon running” or flying at extremely low altitudes at high speed. It can avoid mountains, skyscrapers, and other terrain or objects. While it is rocket launched, it is still propeller driven. It has a top speed estimated at around 500mph [800kmph]. While it can fly as low as a few hundred feet above terrain it can also fly as high as 50,000 feet [15,000 meters] which is pretty well the performance of western powers’ cruise missiles.

Okay, a Tomahawk Cruise missile is much faster, but it doesn’t have anywhere near the range or duration of flight. This proves to be significant when we realize this:

The Skyfall sports the latest in stealth technology, which means it’s gonna be tough to detect because of its small footprint and stealth capabilities. With radar detection technology, the Skyfall can avoid radar whether it is above or below AWACS airborne radar platforms. It can also fly below radar while skimming geographic and man made structures which would mask its presence. Furthermore, it can fly a hundred feet above the water making it impossible to detect since ship radar rarely scans that low.

“Russia has successfully tested its nuclear-powered and nuclear-capable missile and is preparing to deploy it.” this according to Russian President Putin this last Sunday. This is a strong message to the West after plans for a summit with President Trump collapsed.

Keep in mind that because Skyfall runs on nuclear power, it can fly for a really, really long time. It’s said to be capable of remaining aloft at various altitudes for as long as a year, but then again it might stay up there a lot longer. The Kremlin says it is capable of evading missile defense systems and penetrating others such as America’s proposed “Golden Dome.”

“This is a unique product that no one in the world has,” Mr. Putin said during a meeting with the chief of the general staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery V. Gerasimov, and other military commanders, according to a video released by the Kremlin.

“We need to identify potential uses and begin preparing the infrastructure for deploying this weapon in our armed forces,” Mr. Putin continued.

In it’s maiden voyage it flew for 15 hours carrying a simulated warhead [constructed of lead to simulate the weight of a nuclear payload] and covered nearly 9,000 miles. Generals were quick to note that this Skyfall was brought “back to base” for examination. Having a nuclear power plant, it was critical for Moscow to bring it back for study and analysis. Barring any unforeseen events, this missile will be fielded by the military within 8 ~ 12 months, this according to General Gerasimov.

Skyfall has been in the works for decades and analysts say its success now does not come as a surprise. Propagandists exist in both the East and the West. Western propagandists are now referring to Skyfall as “a tiny flying Chernobyl,” referring to the nuclear disaster where a Ukranian nuclear power plant melted down in 1986.

Mr. Trump has spoken often of developing a shield he calls the “Golden Dome” that he says would make the United States impervious to missile attacks. The Burevestnik [Skyfall] is engineered to evade a Golden Dome system.

I think that further negotiation with Russia is necessary and that the whole truth about the Russia ~ Ukraine War be brought to light. So much propaganda has polluted the truth from both sides of the Russia ~ Ukraine border. To hear them, both sides are winning the war and will “crush one another” in time.

If ya ask me, the only thing being crushed between Russia ~ Ukraine is the truth. Keep in mind one single fact: If Russia really wanted to take Ukraine they could do it in a month. So why haven’t they? The only explanation is that Russia has been fighting a defensive war while Ukraine has fought an offensive war.
