Week 43 Tutorial: The Last New Testament Letters (1–2 Peter; Jude; 1–3 John)

Week 43 Readings of our 2025 Chronological Bible-in-a-Year Reading Challenge have us investigate the epistles of some of Jesus' earliest followers—Peter, Jude and John.

Whilst each author has their own unique personality and penmanship, these letters also share many common traits and, like Hebrews last week, are very 'Jewish' in nature.

In this video, Chad Mansbridge draws our attention to some of these commonalities: including their emphasis on eschatology, references to the same Old Testament stories, and use of what appears to be cryptic/code language, perhaps owing to the fact that these letters were written in a time of immense persecution for the Christian community.

Enjoy! Just one week left after this... #theendisnear
