Why is there so much talk about Israel?

Israel is a small country – why do we give it so much space in our prophecy talks?  There are other conflicts problems in the world. But Israel is the epicentre. It is the focus of both pro and anti opinions around the world. There is an obvious anti-Israel obsession in world today. The Red/Green alliance. The UN resolutions. The 'From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free' chants which means an end of Israel. These carry on demonstrating even after ceasefire. It shows that what they really want is the destruction of Israel.
