Alabama Survives South Carolina, Auburn Finds SEC Win, LSU Fires Brian Kelly | TNR 10/27/25

​The Alabama Crimson Tide wins 29-22 at the South Carolina Gamecocks Saturday finally overcoming the alarming trend of losing on the road to unranked opponents under Kalen DeBoer. Wide receiver Germie Bernard scored twice in the final minutes to give Alabama Football the road win. The Tide now has a bye week before facing the LSU Tigers who just fired Brian Kelly.

The Auburn Tigers finally held a fourth quarter lead to beat the Arkansas Razorbacks 33-24 in Fayetteville. Auburn Football did make a QB change in the game, moving to Ashtron Daniels who finished the first half and played the entire second half in the win.

Auburn now faces the Kentucky Wildcats and are a double digit favorite at home.

The Ole Miss Rebels got a massive 34-26 road win at the Oklahoma Sooners Saturday. The win gives Ole Miss Football a clear road to the College Football Playoffs. Oklahoma Football now has two losses and an incredibly challenging remaining schedule.

The Vanderbilt Commodores also helped their College Football Playoff chances with a 17-10 win over the Missouri Tigers. Vanderbilt Football moves to 7-1 and now faces Texas in a monumental game for both teams. Missouri Football lost QB Bo Pribula in the loss but initial reports say he may be able to return before season’s end.

The Texas Longhorns survived overtime for the second straight week, this time in a 45-38 win at The Mississippi State Bulldogs. Texas Football QB Arch Manning did have one of his better performances in a Burnt Orange uniform leading a 17-point 4th quarter comeback to beat Mississippi State Football.

The Texas A&M Aggies embarrassed LSU 49-25 Saturday night at Tiger Stadium.Texas A&M Football moves to 8-0 and remains the SEC’s only undefeated team and one of two teams undefeated in the SEC. After the game, LSU Football has decided to move on from head coach Brian Kelly, firing him midway through his fourth season.

The Tennessee Volunteers continued their dominance over the Kentucky Wildcats 56-34. Tennessee Football rolled up 504 yards of total offense win the win dropping Kentucky Football to 2-5.

The Oregon Ducks survived the loss of QB Dante Moore to beat Wisconsin 21-7.
