In **Musnad Ahmad** and Al-Bidayah wan Nihayah by Imam Ibn Kathir, it is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah revealed one hundred and four scriptures. Fifty were given to Shith, thirty to Idris, ten to Ibrahim, and the remaining four were the Torah, the Zabur, the Injeel, and the Quran.” This Hadith clearly confirms that Prophet Idris was given thirty scriptures by Allah.

They served to teach the people of that time about their duties towards Allah and one another. Prophet Idris’s people lived in an age when humanity was still learning the basics of organized life, and his teachings helped them progress in faith, morality, and understanding.

It is also reported in *Tafsir Ibn Kathir* that Prophet Idris was the first person to write with a pen. Allah blessed him with knowledge of writing, mathematics, astronomy, and the measurement of time. His writings were among the earliest records of human learning and divine revelation. The scriptures revealed to him contained lessons about truth, justice, patience, and the remembrance of Allah. Through them, Idris guided his people to live righteous lives and to understand the greatness of their Creator.

According to *Imam al-Qurtubi and Imam al-Tabari, this elevation may refer to his spiritual rank or the honor of being taken to a high place in the heavens, as mentioned in the verse from **Surah Maryam**. His role as a teacher and guide was essential in spreading the message of Allah and establishing the foundations of knowledge and writing.

The thirty scriptures revealed to Prophet Idris were not long books like the Torah or the Quran, but rather short revelations containing moral principles and divine wisdom. They guided his followers to worship Allah sincerely, avoid sin, and work hard for the betterment of their lives. By the pen and what they write.” Many scholars believe that this verse reflects the same divine blessing first given to Prophet Idris, who was the pioneer of writing and record-keeping.

Moreover, Prophet Idris’s life demonstrates the harmony between faith and knowledge. His scriptures combined spiritual wisdom with practical understanding, showing that learning is an act of worship when it brings one closer to Allah. His example teaches believers that seeking knowledge and recording it for the benefit of others is a form of devotion and gratitude to the Creator.
