While my main path remains clear—reclaiming Shinran’s statue, securing our lands, and protecting the people—I’ve come to realize our cause cannot survive without strength: in numbers, in resources, and in coin. So I took a contract. A military encampment near Koyana Ruins held a cache of enemy supplies that needed to be destroyed. It seemed simple, but I knew better. Nothing is ever simple. Not anymore.

These contracts test every aspect of my training—my stealth, my patience, my cunning… and my endurance. The lesser guards fell without ceremony, their skills no match for mine. But then came another brute. Towering. Armored. Unrelenting. His strikes landed like falling trees, each one knocking air from my lungs and will from my limbs. But I did not fall. Not yet. I adapted. I learned. My blade found its mark, again and again, until he fell—his armor cracking beneath my rage. The supplies I was hired to destroy now lie in ruins, smoke curling into the dusk. But the other supplies—those I claimed for our cause. Every scrap, every coin, every moment of struggle pushes us one step closer to reclaiming all that was taken from us.
