Patrick Herminie sworn in as Seychelles sixth president

Patrick Herminie was sworn in as Seychelles’ sixth president on Sunday (October 26), after defeating incumbent Wavel Ramkalawan in a run-off election earlier in the month. Herminie won 52.7% of the vote, returning the United Seychelles party to full control of government.
