Suge Knight has broken his silence on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ 50-month prison sentence, sharing his views from behind bars in an interview with *The Art of Dialogue*. The Death Row Records co-founder said Diddy was “lucky,” calling it “a great day for him and an even better one for his family.”

Knight argued the outcome wasn’t shocking, claiming Diddy has “strong ties with the government” and that “anyone else would’ve been cooked.” He mocked how Diddy’s legal team presented him during sentencing, comparing it to “a presidential campaign,” and joked about the courtroom video showing Diddy with family — saying he expected “a DJ to come out so he could dance his way to no time.”

Knight said it was “sad” that none of Diddy’s children’s mothers appeared in court, though Sarah Chapman and Dana Tran submitted letters asking for compassion. He called it “a good day for Hip-Hop,” mentioning that Usher and Russell Simmons were likely happy for Diddy, and urged the community to “take this time to rebuild Hip-Hop.”
