WITT: “Okay and that all make sense, but we have lost our media, is Anna Bauer, who shared a text message exchange. It was initiated by halligan. It specifically references they Letitia James grand jury. So add that to what you were just saying and that the question of lawfulness of their appointments, can this additionally be useful to defense lawyers in this trial.”

KHARDORI: “You know. Don’t be going to be useful in so far as like it’s usable during the trial necessarily, but it does certainly show of a lack of professionalism and understanding of the relevant rules of the road here. The us attorney should not be trying to shape media coverage of cases that she herself is brought her office has brought. So this was a highly highly unusual, very amateurish. I have to say this is why we should not have just random lawyers who the president likes installed. It very important criminal, prosecutorial positions, among many other reasons, but you know, there’s there’s been a request that the court impress upon the us attorney and the office that they are not supposed to be commenting publicly about the case, let alone try to influence coverage.”
