THE JESUS HERMENUETIC. Why Neither "Plain Reading" Nor Critical Scholarship Find Biblical Truth

The principles that one uses to derive meaning from the text of scripture is called a "hermenuetic". The two conflicting views that dominate today are "Plain Reading" promoted by many fundamentalists and Historical Crtical Scholarship methods promoted by many bible scholars. Neither of these approachers are able to discover what God wants you to see in the text of scripture. It isn't that they happen to find the wrong answers from time to time, it is that they CANNOT find the right answers to many important questions about the meaning of scripture.
