Government estimates as of mid-October 2025 indicate that there are between 65 and 70 million tons of rubble and debris.

This rubble includes thousands of homes, facilities, and vital infrastructure deliberately destroyed by the Israeli army, turning the Strip into an environmentally devastated area.

In addition, there are 20,000 unexploded ordnances in Gaza, which is now facing the largest constructional and humanitarian catastrophe in history.
