Michael Shellenberger: Dems’ ‘Woke Radical Progressivism’ Is Alienating Most of the Country — Only 35 Percent Are on Board With Their Agenda

WATTERS: “So is Trump kind of rewrite: the rules for trade for industrial policy, new technology, a I immigration policy. The Democrats have a choice, you’re saying and basically where, where do they stand here and the fork in the road.”
SHELLENBERGER: “Yeah, I think that’s right. I mean this is the big story and it’s as a huge story really right, because we know who the Republican Party is. We know what it’s agenda is, but the Democrats mean the base still stuck with the party of 20 20 four, the party of woke radical progressive ism, but that is alienated most of the country. So you really only have like 30 30 five percent of the country. That’s on board with a Democratic Party agenda that that agenda alienates swing. Voters as we saw in the elections, so I think it’s going to be a huge civil war within the Democratic Party over where it goes as they become more like gavin new, or does it become more legs or on mondavi in a sea and Bernie Sanders. I I expect some difficult dark times ahead for the Democrats. You’ve got a party, and are they really knows what it is? It knows it’s vision and values. The American people know what it is. The Democrats are just sort of caught stuck constantly responding to everything that Trump does and a reactionary way, because there’s no inner core, there’s no deep sense of self there’s. No true north there’s, no moral compass and someone’s gonna have to provide that. For the Democrats, that’s or I think it could be the end of the party”
