An Illegal migrant from Venezuela was arrested for committing 4 home invasion r*pes in Illinois.
He has been arrested 5 times since June while on pretrial release under JB Pritzker’s cashless bail system

The 21-year-old Venezuelan migrant, protected by Pritzker's sanctuary policies, and repeatedly set free under Pritzker's cashless bail system, faces felony charges for a home invasion s*xual assault.

Yeison Diaz Gomez, was arrested after allegedly breaking into a victim's apartment in the middle of night, groping her before taking off to burglarize a neighbor's home.

Moments later, Diaz Gomez allegedly slipped into the neighboring home through an open door and window, making off with cash, a Timex watch, and an iPad.

The victim's phone was later recovered inside the burglarized home, tying the crimes together.

An hour before the Chicago attack, Diaz Gomez allegedly committed another s*xual assault in nearby Evanston, he was charged with criminal s*xual abuse during a felony and aggravated battery in a public place.

The incident sparks growing concerns over Illinois' TRUST Act – which is Pritzker's 2023 law which blocks cooperation with ICE.

Since June 9, when he was first nabbed for vehicle burglary on Chicago's South Side, Diaz Gomez racked up four more arrests – three for shoplifting and one for drug possession – all while wearing an ankle monitor.

Illinois' Pretrial Fairness Act, signed by Pritzker, eliminated cash bail for most felonies, leading to his immediate release each time without having to post bond.

Overall, he has 10 arrests in Chicago dating back to November 2024
