SOLOMON – THE KING TO WHOM YHWH APPEARED!

The dedication of this temple was, by far, the largest public theological event in Israel's history, since the law was given
at Mount Sinai

Out of all other places in the world, God chose to put His name and to meet with His people, in Jerusalem.

He became lethargic about his faith! Solomon was faithful to the Lord. Then, the King lost his spiritual way. Other texts tell us that He brought a lot of women into his life, one thousand to be exact! Solomon allowed them to derail him.

God had spoken to Solomon previously. Now, it reads that the Lord appeared to him. This could have been a 'Theophany', or a 'Christophany', in a human form.

God had already appeared before to Solomon. Solomon had already heard God's voice, and he knew God's will.

Think about the great patriarchs, such as Moses. He saw all the miracles God had done in Egypt. He sat in the very presence of God, and he heard the very voice of God,

Still, Moses could tell God, show me your glory. I want more! To Solomon, the Lord appeared to him, in person! Let us also seek fresh times with God. He can appear to us in so many wonderful ways!
