Today, as we reflect on A Day of Uncertainty, we confront a timeless truth: hatred and deception, when allowed to take root, ultimately destroy the very systems that gave them life. Across history and even in our modern world, we’ve seen it again and again—empires, institutions, and movements crumble beneath the weight of their own corruption and cruelty.
We will look closely at these patterns, tracing how hate and deceit have shaped human societies and how, left unchecked, they bring about their own downfall. I’ll share with you stories—both ancient and modern—that reveal how these forces work, and more importantly, how they fail.
But even in collapse, there is hope. Out of ruin can come renewal—if we choose compassion over hate, truth over deception, and understanding over judgment. It is through that light that healing begins, and from that healing, we can rebuild stronger and wiser than before.
