Extremely rare cassette copy of the song which is claimed to have been the inspiration for the 1982 smash hit "Thriller", which originally was simply titled "N....." written and performed by Nate 'The Burger King' Higgs. Nate claims he gave this demo version to Quincy Jones 8 months before "Thriller" was released in Nov 1982.

LYRICS

[Verse 1]
It's close to midnight, and something evil's lurking and it's dark
Under the moonlight, you see the shine of their eyes from a far
You want to scream, you better hide your s... before they take it
You start to freeze, as ne.... look you right between the eyes,
You're paralyzed

[Chorus]
Cause this is n..., n... night
And no one's gonna save you from the blacks about to strike
You know it's n..., n... night
You're running for your life from all the, n...s, n...s tonight

[Verse 2]
You hear the rap beats, and realize there's nowhere left to run
You see a black dad, and wonder if he'll ever see his son
You close your eyes, and hope that we go back to segregation
But all the while, you hear a ne.... creeping up behind
Your outta time

[Chorus]
Cause this is n..., n... night
They can never relax when you know the stats on black crime, girl
N..., ooh, n... night
You're fighting for your life against a n... n... tonight

[Verse 3]
They're out to get you, there's ne.... closing in on every side
They will harass you, they'll jack your car and go for a joy ride
Now is the time for you and I to huddle close together, yeah
All through the night I'll save you from the ne.... on the street,
I'll help you flee

[Chorus]
Cause this is n..., n... night
And no one's gonna save you from the blacks about to strike
You know it's n..., n... night
You're running for your life from all the, n...s, n...s tonight

[Chorus]
N..., n... night
You can never relax when you know the stats on black crime
N..., ooh, n... night
You're running for your life from all the, n...s, n...s tonight
