Trump to meet China’s Xi for the first time in second term

President Trump will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on October 30 during the APEC Summit in Asia, marking their first in-person meeting since Trump returned to office.

Analysts expect the meeting to focus on resuming trade talks rather than reaching a comprehensive deal, given the unresolved challenges between the two nations, CNBC has reported.

Concurrently, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng will meet U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in Malaysia this week to discuss trade and economic matters.
