Government Shutdown Or Government Shakedown

The US Government shutdown seems to have turned into a good ol' fashioned shakedown. Similar to what the criminal elements of the early 20th century would do. You will do what we say or we will make you pay!
In this modern scenario, the democratic party has taken the role of mobsters in their prime. They are telling the republicans and the American People, you will do what we tell you, vote how we tell you, pass the laws that we tell you to, or we will make you pay.
Their stubbornness to hold on to the idea that your taxes, my taxes, that the American people should give free healthcare to those who come here illegally, is what they are fighting for. That is their proverbial hill that they are making a stand for. Not for the American people, but for people who came from other countries and broke the law to do it. I guess in their eyes, breaking the law is good. Helping the country you live in and promoting America First is something to do away with.
They need to stop. But until they get the end result they are looking for, they will not. That result? Total power for them, everyone else in prison or worse.
They call President Trump a king when they are the ones acting like entitled kings.
