Disastrous images of mud-filled streets, piled up cars and devastated towns in Valencia are now replaced with a sense of normality and reconstruction, almost one year after Valencia’s devastating floods that killed nearly 240 people. Carlos Michelana, a bookseller in Paiporta, said we "are much better than we were" but "everything is going very slowly."
