I spent a single day at NightMarket.fun 2025—a community festival of Asian food, art, and performances in the Austin area—and tried my first competitive eating contest. The challenge: 15 bao buns. My final count: 3. Pretty sure that puts me around 8th place, but this was about showing up, having fun, and soaking in the energy.
