Apatros Review Ep-0191: The Haunting of Winchester House [2009]

AR-0191: Back to the funky world of The Asylum and their trusty mockbusters, this time doing a quick and dirty haunted house movie based on a real-life legendary spook house - Winchester House.

Apparently a 3D version of this film was issued in Germany [those bloody Krauts!], but the regular 2D version seen by the rest of the world [& me] has some flat photography [as in lifeless... As in lacking any spirit, you get the idea] that robs the film of its full spooky power. The plot is literally a poor man's "The Sixth Sense"... Did I just give the film's game away?

Known in Germany as "House of Scary Ghosts"... Boo!

My Grade: D+ [Disappointing]
