Serial: Raiders of Ghost City, 1944

A group of alleged Confederates led by Alex Morel robbed all gold shipments from Oro Grande, California, bound for Washington in the later part of the Civil War. In the first chapter, "Murder By Accident," Morel's accomplice Trina Dessard identifies Captain Steve Clark as a Union Secret Service agent. He and his friend Idaho Jones are ambushed in the baggage car and are nearly killed when the car uncouples and crashes down the mountainside. Jumping to safety in order to survive the next twelve chapters.
