INCREDIBLE SIGHT Nuclear submarine breaks through the ice!!!

The US Navy nuclear-powered submarines USS Hartford (SSN 768) and USS Connecticut (SSN 22) surfaced in the Arctic Ocean for Ice Crossing Exercises (ICEX).

During ICEX exercises, the US Navy submarines conducted Arctic transits, breaking ice (typically 60–90 cm, or 2–3 feet, thick), collecting data, and conducting other exercises to gain experience operating in the Arctic.
