Power assist for wheelchairs

The SmartDrive by Permobil is a power-assist device for manual wheelchair users. Designed to reduce shoulder pain and general fatigue. The SmartDrive MX2+ is lightweight and portable, and can easily be attached to the back of a wheelchair. SmartDrive MX2+ is activated through either the SwitchControl or the PushTracker wearable. Once engaged, SmartDrive smoothly builds momentum, allowing users to reach their preferred speed. A simple tap on the rim locks in the speed, and a double tap turns off the motor.
