‎First seven hostages released in Gaza are now back in Israel | BBC News
‎Seven Israeli hostages have been freed in Gaza and are now back in Israel, the IDF has confirmed.
‎
‎In total, 20 living hostages are due to be released today - the hostages were kidnapped in southern Israel during the 7 October attacks in 2023.
‎
‎In exchange for the hostages, Israel will release 250 Palestinian prisoners and more than 1,700 detainees.
‎
‎US President Donald Trump has arrived in Israel, and will soon speak to parliament - he will then head to Egypt for a summit attended by around 20 world leaders.
