God instituted Circumcision with Abraham as a sign of their covenant when their covenant had long been established. New Testament Circumcision also occurs as a sign that we have already accepted Christ. Colossians says Christ stripped off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts). Therefore the nature to sin has been rendered powerless and in Christ Jesus we are truly free from the old man to live in the New Life God desires . .
