This one caught me off guard.

I called another property management group to verify the status of a homeowner client who wants to terminate their agreement and move their property portfolio to us. Simple enough, right? Just a quick, professional confirmation call.

But the moment I asked about the account… the property manager went off. 💀 Word vomit everywhere — complaints, insults, frustration — everything but a straight answer. It turned into a full-blown rant session about how “terrible” the homeowner was.

👉 As property managers, we’ve all dealt with tough clients, but professionalism matters. Talking bad about a client (especially to another firm) says more about you than it does about them. The question now is… is the client really that bad, or is this just bitterness?

💡 In this business, reputation and professionalism are currency. You never burn bridges, even when you’re done with a client. Always keep it clean, keep it classy, and keep it moving.
