Undercover Issues in Courts Appear to Drive Website Success for Fringe Independent, While Parties Pander to Their Base in Final Days

WASHINGTON (October 21, 2025)—Since early voting began in Arlington, Virginia, one down-ballot candidate for school board, who is endorsed by neither political party has baffled experts and political analysts, coming from nowhere to one of the top performing political websites in the wotld, according to Google Analytics, for unique visitors, and for persons looking specifically for “Major Mike Webb” in a Boolean query search. He has posted no political signs, made no political donation phone calls, sent out no mailers or disseminated any emails, the last of which is the top driver for traffic in this genre. And so, if almost half of Virginians researching this candidate, not on a tablet or mobile device, but on a home desktop or laptop, somehow he appears to be catching fire below radar, with old-fashioned word of mouth. What have they heard to stir interest?

While the gubernatorial candidates are exchanging barbs about the transgender policies, Webb is actually in court, about the misplaced priorities that find 57% of students in public schools failing to satisfy basic proficiency standards. While candidates for attorney general are talking tough about offensive language, Webb is in court, about 23,000 Virginians who had succumbed to attacks with a CBRN agent or agents, as the HHS Secretary in the Trump Administration had described the virus to authorize emergency uses for diagnostic tests and countermeasures, about which Governor Glenn Youngkin, Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears and Attorney General Jason Miyares did nothing, while 8,000 lives were lost under their leadership. Yet, intriguingly, none of thier Democrat opponents are raising this issue either, any more than the discussion on the abysmal performance of public schools.
