Is Feminism Cooked?

In this first episode of the Feminism Is Cooked: The Decline and Fall series, Tara introduces her new project — a ruthless critique of feminism as moral bureaucracy, ideological fantasy, and morbid symptom of late capitalism.

Joined by feminist and housing campaigner Laura Jones, the discussion dives deep into the explosive fallout from the FiLiA Conference (UK) where tensions between PERFs (Palestine-Excluding Radical Feminists) and TAGs (TERFs Against Genocide) erupted into open conflict.

What begins as a rift over Gaza and Israel quickly exposes the contradictions within contemporary feminism: how feminism’s selective solidarities eclipse class and imperialism; why many self-proclaimed “radical feminists” sound more like imperial propagandists than liberationists; the weaponisation of rape narratives and moral outrage to justify Zionist violence; Feminism’s complicity with NGOs, media, and the state — and its moral economy of virtue and grievance.

If feminists can intersect so easily with fascism, imperialism, and Zionism, what does that tell us about feminism itself? Is this a crisis within feminism (between 2 phases) or is feminism terminal--cooked?
