Day 294 – He Is Risen: The Triumph of the Cross — Matthew 27–28 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

These final chapters of Matthew take us from the darkness of the crucifixion to the radiant light of the resurrection. Jesus endures betrayal, mockery, and death on the cross, fulfilling Scripture and bearing the weight of sin. But on the third day, the tomb is empty. The risen Christ appears to His followers and gives them the Great Commission—sending them to make disciples of all nations, armed with His authority and presence.

Questions:
1. What stands out to you most about the way Matthew describes Jesus’ death and the events that follow?

2. The resurrection changes everything. How should it shape the way we face fear, doubt, and even death itself?

3. Jesus ends Matthew with a mission—‘Go and make disciples.’ What does obedience to that command look like in your own life today?
