An Amazon employee recorded this during the outage:

“It’s been three hours. No info. Nothing.”

“I believe in the kill switch. They’re just testing it out to see if it works. and it does, it’s working.”

“They’re cleansing us right now from everything.”

Normally when systems crash, Amazon offers VTO (Voluntary Time Off) so people can go home.
This time? No VTO. No answers. Everyone kept inside.

If Amazon really runs the backbone of the internet… what happens when someone flips that switch for real?
