Trump Declares War on Antifa: FBI Follows Money, Journalists Share Attacks at WH Roundtable

The Trump administration held a White House Antifa Roundtable October 8, 2025 announcing a major federal crackdown on Antifa, now designated as a domestic terrorist organization. Trump calls on U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to use power of the Justice Department more aggressively, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Homeland Security DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced the FBI will trace funding sources and treat Antifa as an "organized systemic international criminal enterprise." The DOJ will pursue criminal charges against those who funded riots and violent acts, using a follow-the-money approach to identify financial backers. The roundtable included multiple journalists who shared their experiences being targeted by Antifa militants.

The event referenced the September 10, 2025 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University by 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, with Jack Posobiec claiming Antifa symbols were found on bullet casings from the weapon. Federal troops have been deployed to protect ICE facilities in Portland, and the DOJ Civil Rights Division is investigating Portland Police practices regarding journalist attacks.

** JOURNALIST EXPERIENCES WITH ANTIFA:

Andy Ngo - Brutally beaten by Rose City Antifa on June 29, 2019 in Portland, suffering brain hemorrhage from punches, kicks, and milkshake attacks. Awarded $300,000 in damages in August 2023.

Nick Sortor - Arrested October 2-3, 2025 after defending himself when attacked by Antifa outside Portland ICE facility. AG Bondi ordered full DOJ investigation into his arrest.

Katie Daviscourt - Struck in face with flagpole by Antifa protester on September 30, 2025 outside Portland ICE facility, suffering black eye, concussion, and eye hemorrhage. Police did nothing.

Based on my research, here are the brief identifications for each person:

JONATHAN CHOE - Independent journalist and Senior Fellow with Discovery Institute's Center on Wealth and Poverty. Former KOMO-TV (Seattle ABC affiliate) reporter fired in 2022 after covering Proud Boys rally. Emmy-nominated for reporting on Seattle's homelessness and drug crisis.

JAMES KLUG - Conservative content creator and political commentator for Turning Point USA, known for street interviews and undercover reporting of riots. Instagram star with over 200,000 followers.

NICK SHIRLEY - Independent journalist and content creator who covered Portland protests and anti-ICE demonstrations. Threatened at gunpoint while covering protests in Portland.

SAVANAH HERNANDEZ - Reporter and political commentator for Turning Point USA. Former production assistant and reporter for The War Room with Owen Shroyer. Covered 2019 Hong Kong pro-democracy protests and 2020 riots. Assaulted, mobbed and robbed by Antifa in Austin, Texas.

CAM HIGBY - Independent journalist for Today is America. Brutally assaulted by Antifa on June 14, 2025 at Seattle "No Kings Day" protest, suffering concussion from punches with sap gloves and kicks to the face. Attacker Jeremy Lawson arrested and charged with felony assault in July 2025.

SEAMUS BRUNER - Director of Research at Government Accountability Institute. Investigative journalist and bestselling author of "Compromised: How Money and Politics Drive FBI Corruption," "Fallout," and "Controligarchs." Works with Peter Schweizer on investigations that sparked FBI and Congressional probes.

JULIO ROSAS - National Correspondent for Blaze Media, formerly Senior Writer for Townhall. U.S. Marine Corps Reserves veteran. Author of "Fiery But Mostly Peaceful: The 2020 Riots and the Gaslighting of America." Covered 2020 BLM/Antifa riots in Kenosha, Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle and border crisis.
