The Fix Is In? Democrats BLOCK Ballot Cameras in NJ

Passaic County, New Jersey, is once again at the center of an election integrity storm. The Democrat-controlled Board of Elections has voted against placing cameras in ballot storage areas — and even refused basic sign-in/out logs for individuals handling mail-in ballots.

This decision raises serious concerns about transparency, accountability, and potential conflicts of interest — especially since the Chairman of the Passaic County Board of Elections also serves as the County Democrat Chairman.

The NJGOP has called the move “reckless and politically motivated,” warning that it undermines public trust in fair elections. And they’re right to be alarmed — Passaic County has a history of voter fraud, including the infamous 2020 Paterson mail-in ballot scandal that resulted in multiple criminal charges and an invalidated election.

Why are Democrats blocking simple, common-sense safeguards that protect both parties and every voter? Cameras and sign-in logs are basic transparency measures used in other states — so what are they afraid of?

Election integrity should never be partisan. New Jersey voters deserve openness, not obstruction.
