This film is adapted from the true stories of three members of the Armed Police Force:

Wang Qiang, a soldier fighting on the frontlines of drug enforcement, goes undercover in a drug manufacturing facility. Relying on his exceptional military skills and immense psychological fortitude, he defuses explosives, subdues a drug lord, and eradicates the drug den.

Zhuang Xiaohong, a military spouse, has for years silently supported her husband, who is stationed at a high-altitude mountain pass. However, while visiting him, she is in a car accident that requires an amputation. To ensure she can give birth to a healthy child—a descendant of a soldier—she endures the surgery without anesthesia, remaining strong and self-reliant even afterward.

Li Baoguo, a soldier assigned to a support mission in Xinjiang, is battling cancer. Regardless, he continues to apply for difficult missions there, ultimately succumbing to his terminal illness. His final wish is to "serve the nation again in the next life."

Through these three parallel chapters, the film provides a panoramic view of the dedication of the Armed Police Force's officers and soldiers, telling their stories of sacrificing their own small families to protect the larger family of the nation.
