After bragging about tariffs of up to 145% on China, Trump pivots on a dime and tells Fox Business they’re “not sustainable,” yet somehow also “could stand.”

👉 His message was clear: “But that’s what the number is; it’s probably not, you know; it could stand, but they forced me to do that.”

He also performed his favorite two-step: after threatening China, he pretended everything’s fine and was “optimistic” about meeting with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit later this month.
