Land titles, fishing rights, and the future of property in BC — this one decision could change everything.

In this video I dig into:

The facts of the case: ~1,846 acres claimed, submerged lands recognized, rights to fish.

Why the ruling matters: fee-simple titles being declared invalid or burdened, property rights uncertainty.

What this means for homeowners, developers and the BC real-estate market — could similar claims arise elsewhere?

My take: I’m a non-Indigenous land-owner in Canada, my friends are Indigenous — I share my perspective and ask you to form your own.

And finally: What should we do? How do we balance reconciliation with certainty of land rights?
