Joe Rogan Harshly Criticizes Katie Porter Over Pedophilia Comments
During a recent episode of his podcast, host Joe Rogan launched a sharp critique against Democratic congresswoman and California gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter for controversial remarks in which —according to Rogan— she downplayed the severity of pedophilia by referring to it as a possible “sexual orientation.” Rogan also pointed to Porter’s alleged abusive behavior toward her own staff, describing her as “the worst” and calling her attitude hypocritical, especially when cameras are not rolling.
Rogan recalled that for years he has warned about certain academic narratives seeking to redefine pedophilia as an orientation rather than a crime. “I used to bring it up, and people said, ‘That’s ridiculous, no one believes that.’ But now you have a woman running for governor of California saying exactly that,” Rogan stated. According to him, Porter used the term “MAPs” (Minor Attracted Persons) —a label promoted by certain groups that attempt to normalize attraction to minors through neutral language— something he considers extremely dangerous and morally unacceptable.
The commentator noted that although many once thought such ideas would never reach the political or media mainstream, they are now being discussed openly. “People said it would never go anywhere, that no one would ever accept it. And now this woman, who wants to be governor, is saying it out loud,” Rogan emphasized, expressing concern over the ideological direction of some progressive circles in the United States.
In addition to condemning Porter’s comments on pedophilia, Rogan criticized her behavior toward subordinates. According to multiple reports, Porter has been accused by former staff members of verbal abuse and creating a hostile work environment. Rogan referenced these claims, saying: “She yells at her staff, ‘Get out of my damn office!’ She’s the worst. She looks like a totally different person when the cameras are on, but off-camera, she’s a monster.”
Rogan’s statements reinforce growing concerns about moral and cultural radicalization within certain progressive sectors. The idea of portraying pedophilia as a sexual orientation rather than a crime, critics argue, represents a direct threat to ethical values and the protection of minors. Rogan —known for challenging both left- and right-wing figures— warned about efforts to normalize immoral behavior under the guise of “inclusive progressivism.”
He also highlighted the contradiction between Porter’s public persona —as a self-proclaimed defender of justice and equality— and the accusations of mistreating her own staff. “She talks like a saint when the cameras are rolling, but when no one’s watching, she treats her people like garbage,” Rogan said, questioning her leadership and moral integrity.
The controversy has reignited debate about the boundaries of progressive discourse on morality and sexuality, as well as the responsibility of public figures regarding the language they use. For Rogan and other critics, normalizing terms like “Minor Attracted Persons” not only trivializes a serious crime but also risks desensitizing society to child abuse.
In conclusion, Joe Rogan’s remarks about Katie Porter go beyond criticism of a single candidate —they serve as a warning about the ideological direction taken by some political and academic sectors in the U.S. The controversy merges two explosive elements: the allegations of workplace abuse within Porter’s team and her apparent willingness to soften public perception of pedophilia. From a conservative standpoint, both issues reflect a deep moral and leadership crisis within the progressive left.
Rogan’s comments, widely shared across social media, have resonated strongly among voters and political analysts alike. For many, his intervention raises a question that transcends party politics: to what extent is progressive discourse willing to sacrifice fundamental moral values in the name of inclusion and political correctness?
