Daniel - Part 05

The lesson on October 19, 2025 was part 5 of the study. Wayne discussed Daniel Chapter 2, interpreting the image of gold, silver, bronze, iron, and clay as representing successive empires, with the feet and toes symbolizing the final kingdom before Jesus’ return and perhaps the Muslim nation coming after the Roman Empire. He referenced historical accounts of Muslim conquests in Spain and Egypt, emphasizing the brutal treatment of non-Muslims. The speaker highlighted the importance of standing firm in faith, as illustrated by Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and called for vigilance and protection against Islamic extremism. Most of Daniel 3 was covered thru the salvation of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace from the 4th figure in the furnace, which we believe to be the Lord Jesus Christ as the Angel of God that protected all three as a testimony to Nebuchadnezzar. Wayne shared two books that he was reading to elaborate on the Islamic impact on the times of the gentiles. They are “The Myth of the Andalusian Paradise: Muslims, Christians, and Jews under Islamic Rule in Medieval Spain” by Northwestern University scholar Darío Fernández-Morera, and “Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West” by preeminent historian Raymond Ibrahim. He said that this is very much going on in Britain right now and is fearful of a civil war being the result.

The scripture reading was from Daniel 3:1-3 KJV “1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. 2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. 3 Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.”
