Russia has unleashed its newest long-range bomb, the UMPB-5R, during strikes on Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, escalating the arms race as Kyiv fails to secure U.S. Tomahawk missiles.

The rocket-powered glide bomb, with a 250-kg warhead and 100-km range, was used from occupied territory, marking its first known combat deployment. Ukrainian prosecutors confirmed the strike on Lozova as Moscow continues testing new munitions to counter Western weapons.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump, after a call with Vladimir Putin, denied supplying Tomahawks to Kyiv, calling them “vicious weapons,” amid fears such a move could harm fragile U.S.-Russia relations.
