Day 292 – The Coming Kingdom and the Fall of Hypocrisy — Matthew 22–24 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

In these chapters, Jesus faces challenges from religious leaders, delivers His sharpest rebukes against hypocrisy, and begins to reveal the signs of His return. He calls His followers to watchfulness and faithfulness, warning that the temple will fall and the end will come when least expected. Through His teaching, we’re reminded that true discipleship isn’t just about knowing the truth—it’s about living prepared for His coming.

Questions:
1. When Jesus says the greatest commandment is to love God and love others, how does that simplify—and yet deepen—our understanding of God’s law?

2. What dangers does Jesus expose in religious hypocrisy, and how can we guard ourselves from falling into the same traps?

3. How do Jesus’ confrontations in these chapters challenge our own comfort with cultural or religious traditions?
