Was Jesus's death a sham and his resurrection, a hoax? Lee visits Dr. Alexander Metherell, PHD, on the evidence of Jesus's death by crucifixion? Did he really die? Did he get resuscitated by the cool, damp air of the tomb? Do the facts add up?

Roman crucifixions were known to be unbelievably brutal. Advise to not listen to this before eating--be prepared to be shocked to tears. Keep in mind, this was Holy God, come down to earth from heaven as a man, with the fullness of God (though he voluntarily limited his power in some cases). He was the omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent almighty God, who was so averse to sin, he could not tolerate even the slightest infraction. The wages of sin are death, and so Jesus, the perfect holy man took our punishment for us. Jesus was the only one who was acceptable to pay for our sins, since our sacrifices are "dirty rags".

If Jesus didn't really die, then we are still condemned in our sins--if Jesus didn't really die, then the resurrection never happened. If Jesus didn't really die, then he is not God--because he said he was and he said he'd die and rise.

I find myself searching for words here--so just listen to the interview, and if you are squeamish, be sure you don't do it on a full stomach. It's horrific.
