Why is there a Day of Judgement AFTER we go to Heaven or Hell? | Sam Shamoun

Christian calls up Sam Shamoun and is told by friends of the caller why is that we have a day of judgement even thought our bodies immediately go to heaven or hell after we pass away? It is clear from the bible that it plays out like a trial if you are guilty of a crime in this case being sin then hell would be jail but the trial (Judgement day) won’t happen until later . We are aware of this because we know how we lived here on earth and the parables that Jesus gave in his ministry highlighted realistic events that happened in order to paint a picture of what’s to come .
