The remnant of Judah mistakenly fled to Egypt for safety but faced further captivity. Ammon and Elam are prophesied to be destroyed but later restored. Edom, known for its pride and the rock-hewn city Petra, is condemned to desolation and remains uninhabited to this day. Damascus, one of the oldest cities, is foretold to be destroyed but continues as Syria's capital. These prophecies emphasize that Judah's remnant had no safe refuge except God, yet they failed to seek Him, leading to their downfall.
