The Last Days: The Abomination of Desolation- Matt 24:15

Jesus now quotes Daniel directly to clarify that the fulfillment of the “abomination that causes desolation” is yet future. Paul harks back to Jesus’ and Daniel’s prophecy as he gives his own prophetic statement of the Antichrist who is yet to come (2 Thess. 2:3–4), which prefigures the Antichrist (the first beast) who will be set up by the false prophet (the second beast) as a god in the temple (Rev. 13:11–18).
