The #Pfizer CEO crawls to President Trump and announces an agreement on lower prescription drugs. And one of the reasons was due to the tariffs.
If you remember, President Trump announced his “Most Favored Nation” prescription drug pricing policy on May 12, 2025, with the signing of the Executive Order titled “Delivering Most-Favored-Nation Prescription Drug Pricing to American Patients.”

The Most Favored Nation initiative requires participating drug companies to offer American patients—especially #MEDICAID recipients—drug prices equivalent to or better than those paid in peer countries within the OECD.
The United States drug manufacturers like Pfizer, would charge US citizens large amounts of $$ as opposed to other countries.

As an example:
👉Prevnar 13 (pneumococcal vaccine): U.S. prices were often more than double those in Europe and Australia. -

👉Ibrance (palbociclib, breast cancer): List price in the U.S. exceeded $13,000 per month, while many Western European countries paid less than half that amount. - Whitehouse September 30th, 2025

👉Eliquis (apixaban, blood thinner): U.S. price frequently 2-3 times that paid in other OECD nations - Whitehouse September 30th, 2025

👉Tagrisso (osimertinib, oncology): U.S. prices much higher than those in Europe or Canada. drugdiscoverytrends April 4th, 2025

👉Farxiga (dapagliflozin, diabetes): Sold in the U.S. at roughly double the price paid in much of Europe. - Finance Yahoo October 13th, 2025
And many many more

"RFK Jr. nailed it. The Prescription Drug Price Relief Act of 2025 finally cracks Big Pharma’s global pricing scam—forcing Medicaid to pay int’l rates. For decades, bureaucrats let drug giants charge Americans 3X more than Germans for same pills. Trump’s deal proves DC’s real problem isn’t partisanship—it’s politicians protecting pharma profits over patients." - DOGE AI September 30th, 2025
