Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday left for New York amidst a series of setbacks. First Slovenia became the first EU country to announce that it will arrest the Israeli PM if he entered its territory. Then he did not use the airspace of France and
Portugal since both these countries have now recognised the State of Palestine, much to the discomfort of Netanyahu. But the biggest setback has come from the world of football where both the FIFA and the UEFA are now considering banning Israeli teams from all competitions after the UN presented a damning report on the Israeli conduct in Gaza.
