Jonathan Pageau and the Breakdown of the World War II Consensus

I comment on an inspiring video from Jonathan Pageau in which he discussed a "foundation myth": the way that a certain interpretation of World War II informs our vision of international affairs and of how things should be within our countries, families, and psyches. He says that like all foundation myths, this one has gaps and hidden places, and an expiration date. I add to this by talking by an older and larger foundation myth, going back 250 years - the story of the human race's new found success, proven by our doubling our consumption every 22 years, and all the things that have come with that doubling. Like the WWII narrative, our narrative of our success is starting to meet its limits.
